Choosing A Home
Prospective residents will be provided with all the information necessary for them to determine whether it is the Home where they would like to live, including being invited to the Home whenever possible.
We encourage each potential resident to visit the home to satisfy themselves that this is where they want to live and to discuss their personal preferences. We want to ensure that the resident will be happy with the location and religious, cultural and social mix of the Home.
Prospective clients can contact the home direct or through their social worker. The majority of our referrals are received from the Social Work Department.
Prior to admission the Home Manager, or another senior member of staff, will visit the client to assess their needs. Where the client is self-funding, a contract is signed with the client (or relative or advocate) and the Home prior to or on the day of arrival at the Home. Should any public money be required to pay the fees then the local Social Services sign a contract with the Home.
